Description des services: A community services organization dedicated to working to improve the health of people living with, affected by, and at systemic risk of HIV in the Region of Peel

Programs offered to residents:

  • Support and Engagement for People Living with HIV: support and care program through counselling, case coordination, and referrals to community services and healthcare providers
  • Harm Reduction: A public health measure that aims to reduce adverse health and social consequences of behaviours that lead to a higher risk of sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (such as unprotected sex and substance use) from a non-judgmental point of view
  • African, Caribbean and Black (ACB) Health Promotion: Builds capacity of agencies to provide services around HIV/AIDS to ACB communities and provides services to ACB individuals to increase their knowledge about HIV prevention and transmission
  • 2SLGBTQ+ Programming: Offers safe and positive spaces for diverse 2SLGBTQ+ communities in Peel, including trans and gender diverse folks, GBTQ+ men, and women
  • Women's Health Promotion: Offers education, outreach, support, and capacity-building activities in response to HIV/AIDS prevention among women; this program also addresses the systemic barriers that women face, especially street-involved women, sex workers, trans women, and women living with HIV
